Field notes

Nine callings. One party.

A class is only the beginning. Find the role you want to play, then explore the specialization that makes it yours.

Start with your place in the party

The imported guide describes nine classes and 27 specializations. Warrior, Paladin and Druid have tank paths. Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Mage and Druid have healing paths. Every class has at least one damage path.

The class discovery guide lets you filter by these party roles. Selecting a role narrows the classes, but you can still explore every specialization of a class before committing to a build.

Leave room for an unexpected calling

Mage is not only a damage class here. Chronomancy is its healing specialization: the authored description speaks of anticipating wounds, repeating healing and reversing damage. Pyromancy and Cryomancy take the damage role.

Druid offers Moongrove for damage, Wildfang for tanking and Groveheart for healing. Paladin spans the same three roles through Dawnreaver, Faithwarden and Sunmender. These names and roles come from the guide and authored talent snapshot, not a popularity or difficulty ranking.

Take a path into the calculator

Each specialization in class discovery links to the talent calculator with the class and specialization already selected. The imported model unlocks specializations at level 5. Its own level rules determine which rows you can choose.
