The Lamp-Tenders

The captain says you can swing a blade, $C. Good. The wreckers on the bar are the hands; the lamp-tenders are the fingers. They trim the wick, they carry the oil out along the sand at dusk, and they keep the false light burning bright enough to look like a harbor. Go up to the lamp and kill eight Redknife Lamp-Tenders. A lamp with nobody to tend it goes out on its own.
