Gulls on the Halyards

Every morning I go up the Free Margin's mast to bend on the Moot's colours, and every morning the hookbills have been there first. They pick the tar off the halyards, they nest in the furled flag, and they foul the deck the captains sit on. Gulls are gulls, $N, but these have learned to dive at a hand on a line. They roost on the bluffs west of the town. Thin them by ten and I will owe you a song.
