The Pale Choir Cantors sing the lantern dark from the ice, and the Moontide Waders drag its oil down into the tarn. Silence 8 of the cantors and drive off 6 of the waders. Seraphine wrote me her third vow: a burden carried for others is holy, but a burden that cannot be set down becomes a chain. I have carried this lantern alone so long I forgot it can be set down.
