The Deacon's Hymn

There is something Ilsabet will not have told you, because she leaves the hard truths for the field. Deacon Voss, who leads the Gravecallers in the fen, took the same vows we take, in a chapel of the Vale. I never met him, but we learned the mending hymn from the same book. He sings it backwards now, and every verse of it pulls the fen dead up out of the lakes. Go to the Gravecaller camp north of the third lake and end his hymn, $N. Then carry word to Mother Ilsabet at the Hall of Orders. The rest of this lesson is hers.
