Before there were Speakers, before there were words for water or stone, someone listened, and the four answered. In the Firstword Sanctuary, far to the north past Palimpsest Reach, a memory of that first listener still lingers: Aru Before Naming. Go and sit with Aru. Tell Aru that the circle still listens.
