Something has taken up residence near the Boiling Strand, $N, an elemental grown so hot and so stubborn that we've started calling it the Kilnheart, like it thinks it still has trials to run. Eight cinderscale skinks bask around it, feeding off its heat. Clear the strand, then put the Kilnheart down, and this crater finally cools all the way through.

Completion
Whatever it thought it was proving, it is finished proving now, and the strand is quiet for the first time since I came to this crater. Here, take these. We cut them from the same glass the Kilnheart was guarding, and I would rather see them on the one who cooled our shelf than have them sit in my stores slowly reheating.
