Rimebound elementals have swarmed the White Crown this season, $N, more of them than the mountain has any business holding, and they have started rolling down onto anyone who climbs the lower slope. Clear nine off the crown and I will hand over a pair of treads I have no more use for; I stopped trapping that high years ago and I am not about to start again for these things.

Nine elementals off the crown, and I still would not set a single snare up there myself, take the treads. Whatever the mountain is growing under all that ice, I would rather trap something that bleeds and stays down.
