The First Footing

Quest · 等级60

Every free ship on this coast comes through the Veil by one light: the beacon at Dawnwatch, on the bluff south-west of here. If that fire goes out, the next convoy ends on the rocks, and the dead out there know it. Lightkeeper Hallowell has not sent a runner in two days. Take the south road out of town, turn west where the track climbs onto the bluff, and find out whether the light still has a keeper.

Completion

Still here, still burning, and glad of a face that is not grinning at me from a skull. Two days I have been holding this lamp alone, $N. The dead come up the cliffs every night to get at it. They want it dark, and I know why: every ship that breaks on these rocks is another crew for them.
