The Monarch's Season
cq_druid_2_3The Monarch's Season
Group quest · Level 20
This is your Proving, $N, and Fenwyn asked me to set it plainly. The Brightwood Monarch has held its herd past its season, and the young stags grow old unanswered while it lives. Its time is over. Ending it is not cruelty; it is the turning the wood has been waiting for. It breaks every trap the hunters set, so bring two friends. Then carry its season home to Fenwyn at the Hall of Orders.

Completion
Mira writes that a young stag called across the wood the night the Monarch fell, and the herd answered him. That is the Proving, $N: to end a thing when its season is over, and to grieve it properly. Now learn what the Grove teaches next. Cleansing Sap washes a friend in living sap: whatever roots or snares hold them lets go, and the sap mends them as it runs. Use it on anyone the world is trying to hold in place.
