The Rite of Binding
cq_warlock_4_3The Rite of Binding
Group quest · Level 40
Commodore Vey, the Mapbreaker, holds the book with every signed name in it, mine among them. He writes his red lines from the reef, and the crews and the coast obey. Your teacher sent the words of a binding rite with you; I do not want to know them. Take two others and break him, $N, and the articles break with him. Then go home to the Hall of Orders and say that the debt is closed. I will tell the crews.

Completion
Vey was a collector, not the creditor. Whoever taught him that ink is still owed. But you closed his book, and that is the Rite: to look a binding in the eye and make it take your terms instead of its own. So take this. Bloodwrit is a bolt of shadow written and signed in your own blood. It costs no mana, only you. That is the honest price of power, $N. Pay it knowingly.
