The Curling Hand

This whole chain, $N, is one leaf of the Book written in a hand that never stops curling back on itself: a script the Binders cut loose because it kept closing its own loops before the sentence finished, refusing to end where a margin said it should. I have spent years copying those channels stroke for stroke and gotten nowhere. But at the farthest reach of the last loop, out past where the sandbars stop making sense, someone else was here before me: small careful marks pressed into the coral, signed only as the Glossator, tracing the same curls I have been tracing and apparently understanding them. Walk out to the closing loop and read what they left. I want to know if they finished the sentence I never could.
